The trust our patients give us is a gift we appreciate and value. We strive daily to earn and keep that trust. We faithfully provide exceptional care and respect to all of our patients. Appletree Dental’s goal is to make each visit to our office a pleasant, comfortable, and comprehensive experience.
Our doctors and hygienists recommend visiting every six months for preventative care. For our patients with specialized treatment requirements, we often recommend a more frequent visit for preventative care. You can expect great communication with your doctor and hygienist – we will discuss all options available for treatment as well as discuss a written treatment plan that you can take home with you. We do our best to ensure you have as much information as possible about your insurance policy that your employer chose for you.
Meet the Team
Carrie W. Mauterer, D.D.S.
A self proclaimed “enamel hugger”, Dr. Carrie is honored to help her patients attain a high level of health, beauty and well-being. She states, “My goal for all of my patients is to help them understand all of their options. I talk with every one of my patients about their health, their needs, their busy lives and their financial concerns and we find solutions together that suit each individual patient”.
If you hear singing, it is no doubt Dr. Carrie serenading the children who grace her chair. It not only calms our kiddos but in many cases you will hear the children humming along as they are coached through their appointments. Her repertoire ranges from Sesame Street songs to Star Wars’s Imperial March depending on the song requests of her patient.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Dr. Carrie lived North of Chicago throughout her youth.
During her studies at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Mauterer was heavily involved in many leadership positions including class president for two years and president of her school’s American Student Dental Association chapter.

She currently chairs the MDDS outreach committee, she is a trainer for The Cavity Free at 3 Program, and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Colorado Dental Association (CDA), and the Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS).
